Lisa Marie Presley vuole portare a Graceland le sue 2 figlie di 10 anni, per le celebrazioni della vita di Elvis Presley, ma il suo ex marito non glielo permette.
Secondo i documenti del tribunale ottenuti da The Blast, Presley aveva fatto una richiesta alla corte di spostarsi, insieme alle sue bambine Harper e Finley verso Memphis, alla fine del mese, Presley ha la custodia delle ragazze avute con l’ex Michael Lockwood, nei giorni di mercoledì e giovedì pomeriggio oltre all’intera giornata delle domeniche.
Il viaggio è per l’Elvis Week, un evento a cui, come racconta la Presley, la famiglia ha sempre presenziato in passato e questo avrebbe permesso alle ragazze di “avere una maggiore comprensione e familiarità con il loro nonno e ciò che lui ha dato al mondo”.
Presley lamenta che, quest’anno, Lockwood si stia opponendo al viaggio. Lamenta anche che, in realtà, negli ultimi 2 anni si è sempre opposto, tanto da averla indotta a rivolgersi al tribunale.
Presley lamenta cje le obiezioni di Lockwood sia centrate sulla possibilità che le ragazze vengano fotografate all’evento. Lei spiega che quando erano insieme, lei e Lockwood hanno portato le ragazze ogni anno e che Lockwood aveva persino fatto un video alle bambine che, in seguito, fu fatto vedere al pubblico durante l’Elvis Weeek,
Con una mail datata 18 Luglio e indirizzata all’avvocato di Presley, Lockwwod scrive “Non acconsento al viaggio a Memphis. Ogniqualvolta Lisa porta le bambine a Memphis diventa per lei un’occasione per foto….l’ho verificato ogni anno. Prima assicura nessuna foto e poi ce ne sono sempre”.
Nella sua richiesta, Presley esprime la sua volontà a raggruppare le visite che Lockwood perderebbe a causa del viaggio ma specifica che Lockwood “dall’9 aprile 2019 al 27 Giugno 2019 non ha mai fatto visita alle bambine”.
Il tribunale ha ascoltato le richieste di Presley alla fine di questo mese e ha negato il permesso per un ordine di emergenza.
Non è chiaro se Presley cercherà un altro modo per ottenere il permesso di viaggiare con le ragazze prima del via alle celebrazioni dell’Elvis Week.
Presley e Lockwood si sono sposati nel 2006 e separati nel 2016.

Lisa Marie Presley Loses Battle With Estranged Hubby Over Taking Their Daughters to Graceland
Lisa Marie Presley wants to take her 10-year-old daughters to Graceland as part of a celebration of the life of Elvis Presley but her estranged husband is not letting it happen.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Presley filed a request with the court to travel with her daughters, Harper and Finley, to Memphis later this month. Presley has custody of the girls and her ex, Michael Lockwood, has visitation on Wednesday and Friday afternoons, and a majority of the day on Sundays.
The trip is for Elvis Week, an event Presley says they have attended as a family in the past, so that the girls "get an understanding and more familiarity of their grandfather and what he has contributed to the world."
But Presley claims Lockwood is objecting to the trip this year. She claims he also objected the last two years and she had to petition the court for permission then as well.
Presley claims Lockwood's objection centers around the possibility the girls will be photographed at the event. She says that she and Lockwood would bring their kids to the event every year when they were together and Lockwood even produced a video of the girls that was shown to the public during Elvis Week.
In an email dated July 18, Lockwood wrote to Presley's attorney, "I am not consenting to the trip to Memphis. Every time Lisa takes the girls to Memphis it becomes a photo op for her ... I have brought this up every year. She agrees no photos yet there always is."
In her request, Presley says she is willing to make up Lockwood's visitation time that would be missed because of the trip but points out that Lockwood "did not elect to exercise his visitation with the girls between April 8, 2019 and June 27, 2019."
The court heard Presley's request late last month and denied her request for an emergency order. It's unclear if Presley will get another opportunity to get permission to travel with the kids before the Elvis Week events kick off.
Presley and Lockwood were married in 2006 and separated in 2016.
